Today is my 45th birthday!

Long 45 years into this world. I am born in 5th Nov 1969, the time I was informed as 4.30am (9may not be exact.
Yes, it's too short when we compare with the cosmic time! However as a human being this is something different and special. I would like to divide these 45 five years not into three equal parts. The first phase as 1-15 for me it was growing period from an infant to a teen like everybody. 15-37 it is second phase of my life mostly coloured my religious inclinations. The current phase of my life has come into existence since 2007 and I could fix my self as a true human.

I could recollect the events from my Ashanpallikoodam with Kunjmol Ammamma (my Ashatti)like Kindergarten or nursery up to high school  (St Stephens High School Pathnapuram in Kollam Dist). My lower primary education was held at Koodal Government LP school.  In these days my life revolved around lovely teachers like Thankamma Sir, Janakiyamma Sir, Sharadha Sir, Mary Kutti Sir etc. Most of them are beautiful and kind enough to bear my naughtiness. (No gender difference  or discrimination like the male as sir or female as teacher- all are equal-SIR and in fact it was a confusing thing till my high school). There were only two male teachers one is Thankappan Sir and Sivaraman Sir.  When we played the police and thief in the nearby rubber trees my friend  Abey (he is no more...) got an unexpect blow with piece of coir as I was the Inspector. I got nicely from Sivaraman Sir.  Thankappan sir was very famous for his threatening pinches and into the inner thighs (not secret parts, he was gentle): He also frightened us with thunderous voice.  In this formation period of my life I was exposed to many things with and without my knowledge or freedom.

The greatest blessing I could remember about those days is my reading habit or love towards letters. I didn't feel shame to do manual labour like fetching water from a long well or peeling the coconut for a particular house in village through which I got permission to use the personal library as my own for many years. Old copies of Balarama, Poompatta, etc.even film magazines with beautiful pictures were there enough to quench my thirst for words and imagination
. I had enjoyed this till my upper primary schooling....(continue)

1983- A Film with Real Difference By Abrid Shine

Abrid Shine the debutant director of 1983 deserves many applause due to the film.If you like cricket (not the IPL gala) you have no choice not to show your love towards this film. With a well written script Abrid told the story in an interesting way. Each shot is perfect, though I am not mature enough to say its technical details. A real cut of the village life which I have had in my childhood days. The cricket god Sachin is a character in this film and this might be an Indian Film in this sort. Bhagath (Kittu) told me after the film that he wanted to become a cricket player. For me it's a positive film. A good movie to watch I recommend!

A Different Journey...!

A JOURNEY BROUGHT TO THE LOST  OR PAST LIFE
It was not at all planned. Yesterday,1st March 2014 after the marriage reception of Rose Mary Jacob 's brother at PALA, all of sudden I've decided to visit my friend and IELTS colleague at Elizabeth International, Mr. K M Joy Joy who has been living in Neelur near Muttom, Thodupuzha. A hilly village of 18 km from Pala.  It is a journey to the lost or past life which I had been enjoying  till the age of 24 at my native Koodal, Pathanamthitta. There is a small hill, known as Ellupara. My 4 year old Bhagath (Kittu) was with us when we went to the top of the hill. It was just like I had had trekking experience in Karakkakuzy where we had a small land of Rubber trees. He was so thrilled, we spent an hour there on the top and played well. Then after the hill we had a different evening food....the cooked unripe jack-fruit. It was cooked with (though there is a gas stove... they used the fire wood in the old open kitchen 'aduppukallu') the mix of crushed coconut on the stone ('Arappukallu' see the pic). I was completely immersed in the past life... which I had in my childhood. The beef curry was prepared by Joy sir was undoubtedly tasty because, I believe, it was prepared on the flames (the memory itself is enough to mouth-watering). It was a journey to my golden past. Brought me to the life I had in my childhood.
The slow pace of that past life gave us a lot in terms of taste... satisfaction... and life.
Thank you very much dear joy sir. We will come again!
On our way back to home we witnessed the danger  in this past pace of life, one young man hit by a mini-lorry which was damn fast and ran out from there at the very moment without giving any chance to know people to note down the number of the vehicle. Suddenly I took him to the Mariyan Medical Centre, near St. Thomas College Pala. Fortunately  he was having some wounds in different parts of his body... not serious. As with my family I couldn't spent much time with that young man... but I informed his friend from Ettumanur about this and left the hospital.
